Day 01 Arrive Paro by Druk Air Flight
During this flight, one will experience breaktaking views of Mount Everest, Kanchan Junga and other Himalayan Peaks including sacred Chomolhari and Mt. Jichu Drake in Bhutan. On arrival at Paro International Airport you will be received by a representative of Yod Sel Tours & Treks. Then drive to Olathang Hotel through Paro valley, an enchanting experience. Overnight at Olathang Hotel.
 
Day 02 Paro - Thimphu
This morning follow the winding road beside the Pa Chu (Chu means river or water) down stream to its confluence with the Wangchu then up-valley to Thimphu, the capital. After lunch visit the Memorial Chorten, Traditional Medicine Hospital, Bhutanese Paper factory, National Library, etc. Overnight hotel.
 
Day 03 Thimphu-Sightseeing
A full day of sightseeing and shopping in Thimphu. Stroll in the town, visit teh Handicraft Emporium. Visit the workshop of the handicrafts. Afternoon visit Tashichho Dzong. Overnight in hotel.
 
Day 04 Thimphu - Tongsa
The journey to Central Bhutan begins today. The drive to Tongsa takes approximately 7 to 8 hours. Packed lunch will be provided at the Hotel. Lunch stop at Chendeje Chorten. Overnight at Tongsa Tourist Lodge.
 
Day 05 Tongsa-Jakar (Bumthang)
Drive to Jakar takes approximately 1/2 hours. Tales of great teacher Guru Padmasambhava dominates this holy valley. From the view point you can see Jakar Dzong. "the Castle of White Bird". Lunch at Tongsa Lodge. Afternoon hike upto Lame Gompa, a place built by 1st King for his two nun sisters. Outside of Lame Gompa, one can see the old style of Bhutanese paper making. Overnight in Bumthang lodge.
 
Day 06 Bumthang-Nganglhakhang
The trek route takes you around the Chumkar Chu, a river known for its richness in trout, lunch stop at Tangbi Lhakhang- then you enter to the swan land Nagang Yul with its centre swan temple Nganglhakhang. This part of the valley was at first inhabited by the swans who gave their name Ngang. The Lama Namkha Samdrup dreamed a vision of how to build a gompa shot an arrow and at the spot where the arrow landed Nganglakhang was erected. Cultural programme, like folk dance can be arranged in the evening. Overnight camp. Alt. 9500ft. Distance 2 Kms about 5/6 hours.
 
Day 07 Nganglhakhang-Ugyenchholing
Climb gradually to Phephela pass Alt. 11000 ft. the highest point on the trek route. The trail you follow until the pass takes you through one of the most beautiful frosted area of this region. Allowing for many stops to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. We can also view Ugyenchholing Palace on the way. Overnight camp.
 
Day 08 Ugyenchholing-Phokpey
Ascending through Bamboo, Hemlock and filly up to the Alpine forest. Overnight in camp. Alt. 11,500 ft. distance 17 kms about 5/6 hours..
 
Day 09 Phokpey-Ungaar
Continue up to Phokpeyla (la means mountain) alt. 12,300 ft. which takes 1/2 hour. Then continue down hill through the gorge, which is about 10,000 ft. down overlooking some mountain valleys and the plains. Where towards the camp we meet pine trees. Distance 2 kms 6/7 hours.
 
Day 10 Ungaar-Taskila
This trail is wave trail winding up and down enroute Drula village and Khaine Lhakhang, one of the oldest in existance in mid 7th centruy A.D. built by the 1st king of Tibet, Tshong Tsen Gompo to subdue the demons. Alt. 6000 ft. distance 21 Kms, about 7/8 hours.
 
Day 11 Taskila-Lhuntshi
Drive up to Lhuntshi guest house for lunch. After lunch at leisure. Overnight in Guest house or camp. Alt. 6000 ft.
 
Day 12 Lhuntshi-Menji
Drive down to Kuri Zam and the trek starts gradually up through the paddy fields and villages. Overnight in camp. Distance 16 Kms about 4/5 hours. Alt. 6000 ft.
 
Day 13 Menji-Pemi
Continue uphill through the thick forest overlooking some mountain views. Descending through the thicker green forest till you reach camp site. Alt. 8000 ft. Distance 2 Kms, about 6/7 hours.
 
Day 14 Pami-Taupang
Continue upto Dongla where you can see all the high mountain views. Descending through the thicker green forest till you reach camp site. Alt. 8000 ft. Distance 21 Kms. about 6/7 hours.
 
Day 15 Taupang-Yangtsi
The day is one of the longest trek on this day. Gradually down hill till Yangtsi through the chir-pine and hard wood forest like Oak of sub-tropical Zone. Overnight camp. Distance 24 Kms about 8/9 hours.
 
Day 16 Yangtsi-Tashigang
The ddrive takes about 2-3 hours. Overnight in camp or in Guest house.
 
Day 17 Tashigang - Samdrupjongkhar
The picnic lunch is provided at the breakfast time and after breakfast you drive through the villages then starts, winding up and down, entering thorugh the cliff one of the most excitingand advantages motorable drive. Enroute Deothang Polytechnic college. Now you are in sup-tropical zone. The drive actually takes about 6-7 hours. Overnight Hotel.
